Team Code Hunter from East Point group of institutions Bengaluru was a finalist in the 2017 Smart India hackathon – Software, in the theme of Agriculture and Rural development. They innovation was titled: Procedure to self verify, update/correct individual details captured during earlier surveys for Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin program

Innovation summary:


They have built an end to end system for citizens which is capable of updating and verifying the housing information for the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin database. It includes an SMS Bot App and a web portal for members of PMAY (G), giving them easy access to their own information through their standard mobile phone, so it could be more accessible for rural users. They have also integrated the SMS Bot with Web Portal by introducing 90% automation for a required process for the stakeholders of the program.

They have been asked by the government department for submitting a proposal.
