Team created a device that notifies the police and family members of a rider in case of an accident for them to take immediate actions and prevent injuries or death.
They reached out to the commissioner of police for help. They created a model of the device that was named “Accident Messenger” and shared it with the authorities for implementation. The device can be connected with the internet and sends out a message to the victim’s family members as well as intimated the traffic police in case of fall of the vehicle.
An initiative of Bala Janaagraha, a flagship programme of Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, Our City Our Challenge is an annual event that engages students in active citizenship, encourages them to adopt a problem solving approach to improve the communities they live.
Our City Our Challenge this year was launched on November 23, 2020. Students between grades 6-12 were given time till April 15, 2021, to plan and execute projects. The students were asked to work on topics such as Road Safety, Climate Change, Local Governance, Water Conservation, Waste Management, COVID-19 issues, or any other issue to bring about a positive impact
