Google announces 8th batch of its startups accelerator in India

Eligible startups based in India, utilizing AI in their core solution or product, including generative AI, are encouraged to apply.

On Thursday, Google announced the opening of applications for the eighth batch of its startup accelerator program in India, designed to support startups harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

“We are thrilled to extend an invitation to AI-first startups in India, at the Seed to Series A stage, to apply for the eighth cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator: India program,” stated Google.

The Google for Startups Accelerator (GFSA) is a three-month, equity-free initiative that brings together the best of Google’s programs, products, experts, and technology to support Indian tech startups that are leveraging AI/ML.

For this upcoming batch, Google is actively seeking Indian AI-first startups operating in various sectors, tackling complex challenges in their industries with AI-based solutions. The application window for the program will remain open until August 22.

Eligible startups based in India, utilizing AI in their core solution or product, including generative AI, are encouraged to apply. Google particularly favors startups in the Seed to Series A stages of development.

The selected startups will benefit from hands-on mentorship and comprehensive training on product development, design, growth strategies, and leadership development.

The program will culminate with a Demo Day, providing a platform for increased visibility within the startup ecosystem. Founders will also receive continued support through the Google for Startups alumni network, even after the program concludes.

In June 2023, Google commenced its seventh class with 20 Seed to Series A startups. The current batch is actively engaged with mentors and Google teams to address their technical, product, and business challenges.
