Clean energy startup HYLENR raises $3 million

HYLENR is developing carbon-free heat energy systems for industrial applications.

Hyderabad-based clean energy startup HYLENR has raised $3 million (approximately INR 26.3 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round to commercialize its patented Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) technology, also known as cold fusion.

The round was co-led by Valour Capital and Chhattisgarh Investments Limited, with participation from angel investors Karthik Sundar Iyer and Anant Sarda. PwC advised on the transaction, and Samvad Partners served as legal counsel.

Founded in 2024, HYLENR is developing scalable, carbon-free heat energy systems for industrial and residential applications, with products ranging from 7.2KW for domestic use to 1MW for large-scale industrial needs.

The funds will accelerate the transition from pilot projects to market launch, targeting markets in the US, Europe, India, and Japan. Pilot projects are already underway with government institutions and industrial players to replace fossil fuel-based systems. The company holds two patents: one for product architecture and another for the LENR process, which has demonstrated 1.5x heat amplification from a 100W electrical input.

HYLENR plans to raise $25 million in a Series A round to scale manufacturing and expand global partnerships, particularly with clean energy funds in the US. The technology, inspired by Padma Shri Dr. Prahlada and Dr. Varaprasad, aims to revolutionize thermal energy generation for industries like manufacturing, oil & gas, district heating, and clean water desalination.
