NIRF 2025 rankings: Rajasthan engineering colleges performance

At the very top, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani remains the most prominent.

Rajasthan’s engineering education system shows a clear pattern of strong national-level players combined with a wide set of private and state universities occupying the 101–300 space.

At the very top, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani remains the most prominent, ranked 11th nationally in 2025. This institution continues to serve as Rajasthan’s global brand in engineering education. Close behind in the same tier is the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, which secured Rank 27, strengthening its presence among the newer IITs.

Another standout is Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, ranked 42nd in 2025, highlighting Rajasthan’s strong presence in the National Institute of Technology system. The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur (LNMIIT) also figured within the top 100 bracket at Rank 90, consolidating its niche reputation.

Beyond the top 100, Rajasthan has a significant cluster of institutions. In the 101–150 band, Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Manipal University Jaipur were listed, showing how private universities are competing at the national stage.

The 151–200 range featured The NorthCap University, Gurugram (sometimes linked with Delhi-NCR but serving Rajasthan students) and JECRC University, Jaipur among others.

In the 201–300 band, Rajasthan shows its widest base of participation. Institutions here include The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur (for additional programs), Poornima College of Engineering, Jaipur, Arya Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jaipur, and several regional campuses from Udaipur, Kota, and Ajmer.

This reflects how the state has successfully scaled up its private sector participation in technical education, ensuring that engineering is accessible across urban as well as semi-urban areas.
